Powell may return to defensive line Sunday
Bengals notebook

Center Rich Braham, safety Kim Herring and defensive lineman Carl Powell all practiced Monday, and coach Marvin Lewis said determinations would be made by Wednesday to see which players would be ready Sunday for the Browns.
Braham, who had arthroscopic knee surgery Sept. 1, left practice a few minutes early in a cart but gave onlookers a thumbs-up sign on his way past.
Herring practiced fully for the first time since injuring his foot in the opener and said afterward that his body responded well.
Powell also practiced, and his return could do nothing but help a thin defensive line.
"We'll have the opportunity to have them all back," coach Marvin Lewis said Monday.
Safety Kevin Kaesviharn also practiced after missing the Pittsburgh game with back spasms. Safety Rogers Beckett is out with aftereffects of a concussion.
PLAYING FROM BEHIND: In 240 minutes of football this season, the Bengals have led for just 38 minutes, 3 seconds.
Playing so frequently from behind has caused the Bengals to pass more than they would like, Lewis said, and has affected play calling by offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski.
The topic was a major one during Lewis' news conference.
FEATURED TEAM: A crew from NFL Films was at Paul Brown Stadium on Monday and will remain there all week to film the Bengals as they prepare for the game Sunday at Cleveland.
Another crew is shooting the Browns, and a one-hour special edition of "Six Days to Sunday" will air on CBS the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
GOAL MET: Lewis wanted to improve the production of the rushing offense against division opponents, and so far the Bengals are doing that.
They have averaged 123 yards rushing against two AFC North opponents and 103.5 against non-division defenses. Still, the Bengals are 0-2 against the AFC North.
DAY IN COURT: Bengals defensive end Justin Smith will be arraigned today in Kettering Municipal Court. He was arrested early last Tuesday in Montgomery County and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Smith apologized last week to teammates, coaches and fans for his actions and said he was putting his faith in the legal system.
