Minicamp on schedule for Bengals this weekend

The Bengals' 14-week offseason program will peak with their mandatory minicamp, which begins today, and wind down with their final four on-field coaching sessions.

The Bengals will practice six times during the mandatory full-squad minicamp today through Sunday at the practice field adjacent to Paul Brown Stadium.

The team then will have on-field coaching sessions Tuesday through next Friday that will concentrate primarily on the passing game.

After next Friday's workout, the team will break up until players report July 30 to Georgetown (Ky.) College for the start of training camp.

One barometer of success is how veteran players perform on treadmill and other physical tests during the offseason, especially compared to rookies who came in and struggled with the demanding program.
