Coaches corner
MOBILE, Ala. - Bengals defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier had attended Senior Bowl practices as the Eagles defensive backs coach in recent years, but he had never coached in the all-star game until this year.
"You get so much more out of it coaching than you do standing on the sidelines and watching," he said after the North team practiced Thursday morning. "What I have liked is sitting in meetings with these guys, getting to know them as people, seeing how they respond and react to certain situations. I'm coming away with a lot better feel for these guys as people."
Frazier's forte is the secondary, as a former position coach and NFL cornerback himself. He has had to almost remind himself daily to watch the linemen and linebackers as well.
"Seeing the practice tape is helpful," he said. "Talking to the position coaches gives me a lot of information. It has been a week that will help us a lot in the draft."
