As he promised Sunday, Corey Dillon "backed up the truck" and cleaned out his Paul Brown Stadium locker Monday.

Though he has two years remaining on his contract, Dillon said he expects to be released or traded and would rather not come back for an eighth season with the Bengals.

"If you don't want to be here, if you don't want to pay the price this man (coach Marvin Lewis) is demanding you pay, get 'em out of here, man," said offensive tackle Willie Anderson, who blocked for Dillon and took his comments personally. "Bye. Good riddance.

"Guys have done all they can to make sure that one person gets all the glory and fame. It hurts to hear that when somebody says he wants to get out of here. He's saying that at me. He's saying that at Rich Braham. He's saying that at Mike Goff, guys who played hurt for you when there was nothing else to play for."

Finally, Anderson referred to Dillon as part of the "old Bengals" and compared the losing mentality to the environmental stench at the team's former practice facility, Spinney Field.

"Get him out of here, man, because some of that stink is still around here, and you can smell it in close games like (Sunday's)," Anderson said. "We need passionate guys. ... "
