It's the Ravens vs. the world
By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The Baltimore Ravens have a good idea which team most of the country will be rooting for when they play the Bengals on Sunday.
And it's not them.
"We're the big, bad Baltimore bullies, and Cincinnati is the feel-good story of the league, and they ought to be," Ravens coach Brian Billick said Wednesday. "It's a great story with all the trials and tribulations (the Bengals) have gone through.
"It's just a statement of the obvious, that they're just the darlings of the league right now, and that's what we're facing."
Middle linebacker Ray Lewis also picked up on the theme Wednesday, four days before he will face Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, his former defensive coordinator.
"Why not?" Ray Lewis said when asked if the Bengals are the feel-good story. "They are having a good season. Marvin has done a great job with those guys and has them turned around. Now they have to come to Baltimore. We'll see what happens Sunday."
