Bengals game against Chiefs sells out, will be on TV
By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The Bengals game Sunday against Kansas City sold out Thursday morning and will be televised live in Greater Cincinnati.
The game will be aired at 1 p.m. on Channel 12 (WKRC-TV) and Channel 7 (WHIO-TV) in Dayton.
The sellout beat the league's 1 p.m. Thursday deadline to lift the local television blackout.
The Chiefs are the NFL's last undefeated team at 9-0. The Bengals victory last Sunday against Houston, coupled with Baltimore's loss, moved the Bengals to within one game of the first-place Ravens in the AFC North.
The sellout is the third this season at home for the Bengals. The opener against Denver and Game 3 against the Steelers also were sellouts.
Coach Marvin Lewis has consistently appealed to fans to sell out the stadium to create a genuine home-field advantage.
