Bengals notebook

Rudi Johnson's 43 rushing attempts Sunday have put him in the NFL record book.
He is now tied for second for the most carries in a single game.
Washington's Jamie Morris holds the record with 45 carries against the Bengals in an overtime game Dec. 17, 1988. The Bengals won 20-17 at Riverfront Stadium.
Johnson now is tied at 43 with two other players: Butch Woolfolk of the Giants on Nov. 20, 1983, against Philadelphia; and James Wilder of Tampa Bay on Sept. 30, 1984, against Green Bay in overtime.
Johnson's 182-yard game is the fourth best in the NFL this season, not including Monday night's game. The top three are Baltimore's Jamal Lewis, 295; and San Diego's LaDainian Tomlinson, 200 and 187.
Johnson reported Monday morning to Paul Brown Stadium for a workout and left to visit family back home in Virginia Beach, Va.
INJURY FRONT: Tight end Reggie Kelly (ankle) is expected to miss his third consecutive game Sunday against Kansas City, coach Marvin Lewis said.
Cornerback Jeff Burris left Sunday's game in the third quarter because he didn't feel well. Burris had suffered his second concussion of the season Nov. 2 at Arizona. Lewis listed Burris as questionable.
Lewis also said he expected that tailback Corey Dillon (groin) and wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) would be questionable.
OLD FRIENDS: Bengals defensive end Duane Clemons played for the Chiefs from 2000-02 and signed with the Bengals as a free agent. Clemons leads the Bengals with four sacks. He has started six games and has 41 tackles.
STATS: At 4-5, the Bengals have as good or better record than eight of last year's 12 playoff teams . . . . The 240-yard team rushing effort moved the Bengals from No. 31 to 21 in league rankings . . . Chad Johnson leads the AFC and is third in the league with 807 receiving yards on 48 catches . . . The early line has the Chiefs favored by 6.
