Billick wants replay recalled
NFL notebook
The Associated Press
Burned twice by replay calls Sunday, Baltimore coach Brian Billick called for the end of instant replay.
Billick challenged two calls a week ago in a game against Cincinnati, and both calls went against him. He also had two calls go against him Sunday in a 26-6 win over the Denver Broncos.
"I quit. I give up," Billick said. "I've tried to be an advocate for instant replay. I've tried to do the company line. I've said the right things. Dump the whole thing. We have spent so much money on this thing and it doesn't work."
Denver linebacker John Mobley bruised his spinal cord during the Broncos' game against the Ravens and was being held in the hospital for observation. X-rays were negative, and Mobley had regained full feeling in his arms and legs.
The Bucs, who have yet to win consecutive games this season, improved to 7-0 after losses under Jon Gruden when they beat the Cowboys.
Marc Bulger, 11-2 as the Rams' starter, played in Pittsburgh Sunday for the first time since throwing for a school-record six touchdowns and 409 yards in West Virginia's 52-14 victory over Pitt in 1998.
Giants running back Tiki Barber surpassed Frank Gifford for most all-purpose yards in Giants history with 9,880.
The Titans reached the 30-point mark for the fifth straight game Sunday.
