DENVER - Denver Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer will be sidelined about four weeks with a broken left foot.
Plummer, who missed last week's game against Pittsburgh with a shoulder injury, initially injured his foot against Kansas City on Oct. 5.
The Broncos medical staff believes Plummer probably had a stress reaction in his foot that didn't show up on X-rays, then broke the foot at home Monday night. Plummer said he felt "a little pop" when he got up off his couch Monday night.
Steve Beuerlein, who played in Plummer's absence against Pittsburgh, continues as the starter.
The Broncos (5-1) play Minnesota, Baltimore and New England the next three weeks.
VIKINGS: Daunte Culpepper will start Sunday against Denver, with Gus Frerotte returning to the backup role.
The Vikings are looking forward to putting their perfect record on the line against one of the NFL's best teams - and even more excited about Culpepper's return as starting quarterback.
"I feel great," said Culpepper, who hasn't played since the second quarter Sept. 21 against Detroit. That's when he broke three small bones, partially fracturing a fourth, in his lower back on a hit in the end zone.
BEARS: Chris Chandler will start Sunday against the Seahawks, replacing Kordell Stewart, who has a leg injury.
Chandler, a 16-year veteran, practiced Wednesday with the first team. Last season, Chandler completed 103 of 161 passes for 1,123 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions in relief of Jim Miller.
BILLS: Receiver Eric Moulds will wait until Friday to test his groin injury to determine whether he can play Sunday against Washington.
Moulds was held out of Buffalo's practice Wednesday, although his status was upgraded from doubtful to questionable.
Willis McGahee was happy following his long-awaited first practice since the Bills made him their first-round draft pick last April.
"Everything's good," the running back said. "I wouldn't be out here talking to you if it wasn't, I'd tell you that much."
PANTHERS: Running back Stephen Davis said his bruised right forearm won't prevent him from playing against Tennessee this week. Listed as probable, Davis said he's certain he'll play Sunday when Carolina (5-0) hosts the Titans (4-2).
TITANS: A second opinion confirmed small fractures in the left elbow of cornerback Samari Rolle, and coach Jeff Fisher hopes Rolle can return Nov. 9, after the Titans' bye week. Rolle hurt his elbow Oct. 5 at New England.
