Isolation Booth: DT Williams vs. C Teague

By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Tony Williams remains one of the most productive free agents signed by the Bengals in the past few years, and he is back in top form this season.

He has 25 tackles and two sacks and played a big part in neutralizing the Browns' run offense last week. Another successful game against the run Sunday at Buffalo would improve the Bengals' chances of pulling the upset.

After allowing an average of 152 rushing yards in their first three games, the Bengals held the Browns to 69 yards.

Williams will be butting heads with Bills center Trey Teague, and the inability of the Bills' interior offensive line to get a good push has jammed their running game.

Buffalo is ranked 31st in rush offense (53 yards), and even if starting tailback Travis Henry does play, he will be no better than 50 percent with a rib injury. Second-stringer Sammy Morris is out.

Replicating last week's winning formula - win the turnover battle, get the lead and stop the run - might mean a Bengals victory at Buffalo.

Buffalo quarterback Drew Bledsoe isn't the most mobile. He has been sacked eight times this season. The opportunity is there for Williams and ends Justin Smith and Duane Clemons to get to Bledsoe. But that plan starts with taking away the Bills' running game and pushing the middle of their line into the backfield.
