TB Dillon probable for Sunday
Bengals notebook
By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Tailback Corey Dillon practiced Thursday and ran the first play in team drills.
Dillon, who suffered a hyper-extended right knee at Oakland, wore a blue knee sleeve and shoulder pads. He is listed as probable for the Steelers game Sunday.
Cornerback Tory James (virus) missed his second day of practice and is probable. Guard Victor Leyva (chest muscle) and tailback Rudi Johnson (thigh) were both upgraded to probable.
As expected, Steelers linebacker Joey Porter (who suffered a gunshot wound less than three weeks ago) was upgraded to probable Thursday.
PASSING THEM BY: Opposing quarterbacks have a 34.9 passer rating against the Bengals through two games, the lowest in the NFL.
LONG TIME COMING: The Bengals' game Sunday against the Steelers is a sellout, making 2003 the first time since 1992 that they have sold out their first two home games of a season.
That's the result of the Bengals' 55-139 composite record since the start of the 1991 season.
The Bengals had a club record 43 consecutive sellouts at Riverfront Stadium from the 1988 season opener through the end of the 1992 season.
OH, SEPTEMBER: The Bengals are now 9-38 in pre-Oct. 1 games since the start of the 1991 season.
