The Cincinnati Enquirer

Right tackle Willie Anderson returned to practice Thursday and remains probable for the Oakland game.

Anderson strained a hamstring in the Denver game.

Linebacker Brian Simmons (rib cage) also practiced for a second consecutive day.

Wide receiver Chad Johnson (ankle) sat out Thursday but will play Sunday.

Out for Sunday are guard Victor Leyva (chest muscles), wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) and tailback Rudi Johnson (thigh).

SCHEDULE: The Bengals will practice from 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. today before flying to San Francisco later in the afternoon.

GRAY AND BLACK: The Raiders are the second-oldest team by average age in the NFL at 27.8 years. Only New England has an older average age, 27.9.

The Raiders also have six players 37 and older: Quarterback Rich Gannon, linebacker Bill Romanowski, wide receiver Tim Brown and defensive end Trace Armstrong are 37. Safety Rod Woodson is 38, and wide receiver Jerry Rice is 40.

Oakland also has 15 players 30 and older. The Bengals have nine.
