Wide receiver Walker's out; former Redskins DE Scott's in
Bengals notebook

Marquise Walker's stint with the Bengals lasted all of two days.
The Bengals waived the second-year wide receiver Wednesday and picked up defensive end Greg Scott off waivers from the Washington Redskins.
Coach Marvin Lewis knows Scott from Washington, where Lewis was defensive coordinator and Scott a rookie in 2002.
Scott, who is 6 feet 4, 293 pounds, played in three games for the Redskins last season as a rookie and recorded one tackle. He played college ball at Hampton and had 56 tackles and three sacks as a senior playing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Scott, 23, was the Redskins' seventh-round draft choice in 2002.
Walker, a former University of Michigan standout, was claimed by the Bengals off waivers Monday from Arizona.
The Bengals have to cut 13 players by 4 p.m. Sunday to reach the 53-man active list.
TRAVEL PLANS: The Bengals will take buses today to Indianapolis, where they will play their preseason finale against the Colts on Friday night. Last year for the preseason night game at Indianapolis, the Bengals traveled that day.
HOLD IT: Lewis said the ability to hold for placekicks will not be a factor for deciding which punter - Nick Harris or Travis Dorsch - makes the team. That strategy would seem to eliminate an advantage for Harris, the incumbent, who has held for kicker Neil Rackers for two seasons.
Harris and Dorsch are expected to alternate punts against the Colts.
