Coming up
Camp will be open for four days this week, through the final training camp practice Thursday morning.
Injury report
The Bengals continue to enjoy a relatively healthy training camp and preseason. Third-year offensive lineman Victor Leyva twisted an ankle Saturday night while playing guard on the first-team line but returned to finish the game.Palmer watch
Rookie quarterback Carson Palmer played as well statistically as a quarterback can play in the preseason victory over Detroit. He had a 158.3 passer rating - the best possible. Not a bad performance from a player with a partially torn tendon in his right foot.
"He was perfect," starter Jon Kitna said of Palmer. "There is no indecision in his mind. He's so calm and cool and takes it all in stride."
Highlights
OK, the 23-10 victory over Detroit was just a preseason game, but the 2003 Bengals - in their first of 10 home games - equaled the home victory total of the 2002 Bengals. That team was winless at PBS in the preseason and earned its only victory in the regular season home finale, 20-13, over the Saints.
