Who: Thatcher Szalay

Position: Center-guard

Height: 6-4

College: Montana

How acquired: College free agent (2002)

Background: Szalay, who played for a Division I-AA national champion in 2001, played in one game on special teams in 2002. He is backup center to starter Mike Goff.

Favorite movie: Braveheart

Why: "Just the warrior mentality, his loyalty to his land and family."

Favorite book: The Clan of the Cave Bear

Why: "It's about prehistoric times. I like the wilderness, hunting and fishing."
