Injury report

•  Linebacker Tito Rodriguez (knee) had surgery and will be out for tonight's game. Tight end Matt Schobel (hamstring) and defensive lineman Ron Smith (elbow) also will not play.

•  Game-time decisions will be made about guard Matt O'Dwyer (foot), wide receiver Peter Warrick (ankle) and cornerback Jeff Burris (heel).Palmer watch

Doctors will examine Carson Palmer right before tonight's preseason game to determine if he can play. Palmer has a partially torn tendon in his right foot - an injury that is not considered serious - and is progressing as planned.

Friday's highlight

The Bengals have practiced six times since their preseason-opening loss Sunday against the Jets. Coach Marvin Lewis did not punish players by making them run more or practice significantly longer. Lewis and his staff executed their regular plan for the week but did turn up the intensity and instructional volume during practices.
