Inside camp

Today's schedule

8:45-11 a.m., practice

3-4 p.m., practice

Directions

From Downtown: Take I-75 South about 70 miles to Exit 126 (Georgetown, Ky.). Turn right off ramp onto U.S. 460 West. Stay on 460 for about two miles. Turn right at the light at Lemons Mill Road (1962 West). The driveway for camp is another one-half mile on the right.

Coming up

Night practice Wednesday, 6:30-9 p.m. Coupled with the regular morning practice, the Bengals will be on the field for four hours and 45 minutes that day.

Injury report

Cornerback Tory James (abdominal), linebacker Armegis Spearman (shoulder), cornerback Dennis Weathersby (quadriceps) and wide receiver Adam Ziesel (shoulder) and strong safety Marquand Manuel (thigh) returned to practice Monday.

Palmer watch

The grooming of a potential franchise quarterback continues. Rookie Carson Palmer threw a fastball of an out pattern to Chad Johnson in the afternoon practice. Palmer also made a good read on a full blitz in 11-on-11 team drills, connecting with wide receiver Danny Farmer on the hot read over the middle.

Highlights

• Cornerback Artrell Hawkins broke up two passes and had a sack on a blitz.

• Cornerback Reggie Myles also had an interception in the afternoon practice.

• Right tackle Willie Anderson led a Corey Dillon sweep to the left and smothered linebacker Khalid Abdullah with a block.
