From Downtown: Take I-75 South to Exit 125 (Georgetown). Turn left off ramp onto U.S. 460. Turn left at stoplight on 460 West. At second light, turn right onto Lemons Mill Road. Drive .4 mile and turn right after the Georgetown College Conference Center Athletic Conference sign. Turn left at the stop sign. Rawlings Stadium is on your right.

Coming up

Intrasquad scrimmage from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday; autograph session at 8:30 p.m., followed by fireworks display.

Mock game, 1 p.m. Saturday (lasting for approximately 90 minutes); autograph session at 2:30 p.m.

Injury report

• Tight end Matt Schobel (hamstring), wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) and defensive tackle Ron Smith (biceps) did not practice in the afternoon.

• Linebacker Armegis Spearman practiced but has a sore shoulder.

Palmer watch

In an 11-on-11 team drill in the afternoon practice, rookie quarterback Carson Palmer recognized a blitz coming from his left, made the read and fired a 5-yard completion to wide receiver Danny Farmer. Palmer later dropped a shotgun snap.

Tuesday's highlights

• Former UC tailback Ray Jackson ran off right tackle for 9 yards before being hit hard and brought down by strong safety JoJuan Armour, a former Miami linebacker.

• Cornerback Terrell Roberts knocked down three passes in the morning.
