When the unfamiliar area code showed up on his cellular phone, Antwan Peek had a feeling his life was about to change.
And it did.
The Houston Texans chose the former Cincinnati defensive end with the 67th overall pick in the NFL Draft on Saturday.
"I was really praying," Peek said. "I almost didn't know what to say. I almost told them to call me right back."
Projected by some to be selected anywhere from the second to seventh round, and listed as a linebacker, Peek was taken two spots behind the Bengals' third-round pick.
"This is big," UC's all-time sacks leader (27.5) said. "Words can't really describe it."
Wide receiver Jon Olinger and cornerback Blue Adams were picked Sunday.
Olinger, drafted in the fifth round by the Atlanta Falcons, caught 54 passes for a school-record 1,114 yards - tops in Conference USA - and seven touchdowns last season.
Adams, drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round, finished his career with a school record-tying 12 interceptions, including two in a loss to Ohio State last season.
