Jets take Colerain grad Askew
Former Colerain High and Michigan running back B.J. Askew was taken in the third round, 85th overall, by the New York Jets.
He rushed for 1,580 yards and 17 touchdowns during his four seasons at Michigan and was named the team's most valuable player last season.
"BJ is a versatile player," said Jesse Kaye, who is the Jets' director of college scouting.
"He is a tough kid who can play multiple positions. ... He does everything we need someone at that position to do."
