Ex-Bengal Pope signs with Patriots
FOXBORO, Mass. - The New England Patriots on Wednesday signed punter Daniel Pope.
Pope, 28, has played in 33 games, averaging 40.9 yards per kick during a three-year NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets.
His best year came in 1999 with the Chiefs, when Pope set career highs in punts (101), yards (4,218) and average (41.8).
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
