Palmer shows off in Bengal workout

Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh was one of four receivers who participated in the Bengals' private workout Friday for quarterback Carson Palmer.
"He threw it well. He's big, like a tight end," Houshmandzadeh said Monday of the 6-foot-5 Palmer. "He's got a real strong arm. He was accurate, even with the timing patterns and four different receivers."
Teammate Danny Farmer and two of Palmer's Southern Cal receivers joined Houshmandzadeh for the Orange County workout.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski, quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese and executives Katie and Troy Blackburn attended. Lewis and the Blackburns then flew to Phoenix for the NFL meetings.
Palmer threw an estimated 80 passes in the private workout.
"I've been impressed with him every time I've seen him," Lewis said of Palmer. "He did nothing on Friday to dispel that."
