Harrington done for season

DETROIT - Lions rookie quarterback Joey Harrington will miss the rest of the season because of an irregular heartbeat.
Harrington, the third overall draft pick out of the University of Oregon, left Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the problem and was taken to the hospital for tests and observation.
Doctors said Harrington's heartbeat returned to normal before he was hospitalized. Lions coach Marty Mornhinweg said the ailment isn't career-threatening.
BILLS: Cornerback Jason Bostic tore ligaments in his right knee and probably will miss the rest of the season. Bostic appeared in all 14 games this season and had 27 tackles and a blocked punt.
BROWNS: Defensive end Courtney Brown will have knee surgery Thursday and could miss the rest of the season. Cleveland coach Butch Davis said Brown appears to have cartilage damage in his left knee and will undergo surgery to assess the damage.
BUCCANEERS: Quarterback Brad Johnson is probable for Monday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers despite a sprained right thumb and lower back bruise.
CHIEFS: NFL rushing leader Priest Holmes has a right hip injury and probably will not play against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. Holmes was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam Monday.
EAGLES: A.J. Feeley will get at least one more start as Philadelphia's quarterback. Feeley has played well since replacing Koy Detmer (dislocated left elbow), who was hurt in his only start filling in for starter Donovan McNabb (broken left ankle).
The Eagles signed former Bengals punter Lee Johnson to replace Jason Baker, who averaged 33.4 yards on seven punts Sunday.
FALCONS: Atlanta coach Dan Reeves doesn't expect starting quarterback Michael Vick to miss practice time this week because of a slightly swollen left thumb.
GIANTS: Backup running back and special-teams player Damon Washington injured his knee and will probably miss the rest of the season.
JAGUARS: Fullback Patrick Washington is probably out for the season with a third-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his knee. When Washington was injured against the Bengals, tight end Pete Mitchell filled in at fullback.
PANTHERS: Carolina coach John Fox criticized backup quarterback Chris Weinke, who went 3-of-7 passing for 14 yards with one interception in a 30-14 loss to the Steelers.
"There are usually reasons why guys are No. 2," Fox said of Weinke. "We have to get him to where he performs better in game conditions."
RAIDERS: Star cornerback Charles Woodson insists he will play this week despite having a crack in the fibula bone of his right leg. Woodson said he hurt his leg in Oakland's 26-20 Monday night win over the New York Jets on Dec. 2.
RAMS: Trung Canidate could start this week ahead of struggling rookie Lamar Gordon if Marshall Faulk is still limited with a high ankle sprain. Faulk had 39 yards on nine carries and two catches for 7 yards Sunday night against the Cardinals.
REDSKINS: Running back Stephen Davis is probably out for the season with a separated right shoulder, which could spell the end of his career with Washington.
VIKINGS: Minnesota placed offensive lineman Lewis Kelly on injured reserve with a hernia. The Vikings also cut safety Jason Perry and signed defensive tackle Cedric Killings and cornerback Carey Scott to fill the open spots.
ETC: Packers quarterback Brett Favre is the leader in fan balloting for the Pro Bowl, with a record 51 million votes cast on the NFL's Web site.
