SCOREBOARD

Monday, Nov. 11

Oakland (4-4) at Denver (6-2), 9 p.m. EST. The Raiders have lost four straight, while the Broncos lead the AFC West. Denver has won seven straight against the Raiders at home, and the Broncos are 12-2 against Oakland under coach Mike Shanahan.

STARS

Quarterbacks

- Marc Bulger, Rams, completed 36 of 48 passes for 453 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions to rally St. Louis to its fourth straight win, 28-24 over San Diego.

- Brett Favre, Packers, had 295 yards against the Lions - in the first half. Favre finished with 351 yards on 26-of-39 passing and two TDs in Green Bay's 40-14 victory.

- Tommy Maddox, Steelers, had a franchise-record 473 yards passing in Pittsburgh's 34-all tie against Atlanta. Maddox went 28-of-41, and his yardage total broke Bobby Layne's 1958 record of 409.

- Tom Brady, Patriots, went 36-of-55 for 328 yards and found David Patten for a 20-yard touchdown with 21 seconds left in New England's wild 33-30 victory over the Bears.

- Peyton Manning, Colts, threw for 319 yards and three TDs in a 35-13 win over the Eagles.

- Kerry Collins, Giants, went 25-of-35 for 300 yards and two touchdowns, as well as a 2-point conversion in New York's 27-20 win at Minnesota.

Running backs

- Tiki Barber, Giants, ran for 127 yards on 24 carries and scored the go-ahead touchdown on an 8-yard run with 2:43 left in New York's 27-20 win over the Vikings. Barber also gained 40 yards on the final possession to help the Giants run out the clock.

- Jamal Lewis, Ravens, had 135 yards on 21 carries and scored on two short runs in Baltimore's 38-27 win over the Bengals.

- James Mungro, Colts, ran for 114 yards and two TDs in a 35-13 win over Philadelphia. Mungro made his first career start because Edgerrin James and Ricky Williams are out with hamstring injuries.

- Michael Bennett, Vikings, gained a career-high 167 yards on just 15 carries in a 27-20 loss to the Giants. Bennett ran for a 78-yard touchdown that briefly gave Minnesota the lead, one week after he had a franchise-record 85-yard run in a loss to Tampa Bay.

Receivers

- Plaxico Burress, Steelers, had nine catches for a team-record 253 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-all tie against Atlanta. The old team mark of 235 yards was set by Buddy Dial against Cleveland in 1961.

- Isaac Bruce, Rams, caught 10 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns, the last one a 7-yarder from Marc Bulger to help the Rams come back from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Chargers 28-24.

- Marvin Harrison, Colts, had six catches for 137 yards and two TDs - covering 57 and 43 yards - in Indianapolis' 35-13 rout of the Eagles.

- Donald Driver, Packers, caught a career-high 11 passes for 130 yards in Green Bay's 40-14 win over Detroit.

- Jason McAddley, Cardinals, started in place of injured David Boston and caught five passes for 113 yards in his second NFL game.

Defense

- Adalius Thomas, Ravens, returned one of three Baltimore interceptions 25 yards for a touchdown in a 38-27 win over Cincinnati. Ed Reed added two interception for the Ravens and could have scored after a 46-yard return, but he celebrated too soon and had the ball knocked out of his outstretched hand at the 8.

- The 49ers stopped Kansas City's Priest Holmes and Tony Gonzalez to win 17-13. Holmes, the league rushing leader, had just 51 yards. Gonzalez, the All-Pro tight end, had one catch for 6 yards.

- Rookie safety Marques Anderson, Packers, returned an interception for a touchdown in Green Bay's 40-14 win over Detroit; he also took an interception back for a score in a 37-31 win over the Lions on Sept. 22.

- Ryan McNeil, Chargers, recovered two fumbles and returned one 5 yards for a touchdown in San Diego's 28-24 loss to the Rams.

- The Titans forced three turnovers and sacked David Carr four times in a 17-10 win over the Texans.

- The Seahawks, last in the NFL in rushing defense at 173 yards per game, held Arizona to 111 on the ground, including 29 in the first half of a 27-6 win over the Cardinals. Arizona's Thomas Jones, who ran for 173 yards in Arizona's victory in Seattle, had just 24 yards on 11 carries.

Special teams

- Adam Vinatieri, Patriots, kicked four field goals, including a team-record 57-yarder in the second quarter of New England's' 33-30 win at Chicago.

- The Falcons and Steelers each blocked a field-goal attempt in overtime to preserve their 34-all tie.

- Tim Seder, Jaguars, kicked four field goals in Jacksonville's 26-7 win over Washington.

- Lamont Brightful, Ravens, returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score in Baltimore's 38-27 win over the Bengals.

- Brandon Bennett, Bengals, ran a kickoff back 94 yards for a touchdown for Cincinnati's first score in Baltimore since 1998.

ALL TIED UP

- The Steelers and Falcons played to a 34-all tie, the first in the NFL in five years and just the 16th since the league implemented overtime in 1974. Of the 333 games that have gone to OT - including 14 this season - just under 5 percent of them have ended in a tie.

FINALLY, A SACK

Vikings rookie Bryant McKinnie gave up his first sack Sunday, but it was a costly one in Minnesota's 27-20 loss to the Giants. The offensive tackle didn't allow a single sack during his college career - at Miami or Lackawanna JC in Scranton, Pa. He played well in his first game since ending his 98-day holdout, but on third down and with his team trailing by seven, he let Kenny Holmes go by him to sack quarterback Todd Bouman for a 20-yard loss. Minnesota punted, and the Giants ran out the clock.

BAD HOMECOMING

Steve Spurrier went back to Florida, but his Redskins left on the wrong end of a 26-7 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Spurrier, who coached for 12 years at Florida, had his QB Shane Matthews air it out 50 times, but he completed only 27 and threw two interceptions. Spurrier's only signature moment came with 12:42 left in the game, when he spiked his famous visor to the ground - along with his headset and his play sheet - after Matthews threw an errant pass to derail Washington's late comeback attempt.

STREAKS

The Panthers dropped their sixth straight game. Five of the losses have come in the final four minutes. ... The Lions have lost 13 straight road games and haven't won in Green Bay since 1991. ... The Jaguars snapped a four-game losing streak with a 26-7 win over the Redskins. ... The Colts stopped a three-game losing streak by ending Philly's three-game win streak.

STATS

Detroit converted just 1-of-13 on third down. ... Green Bay scored 37 straight points against the Lions after falling behind 7-3. ... The Seahawks scored on all five of their first-half possessions in their 27-6 win over the Cardinals. ... Terrell Owens was held to just 51 yards on seven catches on the wet Candlestick grass. ... Kansas City running back Priest Holmes was held to just 51 yards in a 17-13 defeat at San Francisco, but he extended his league lead by scoring his 16th touchdown. ... Seattle forced five turnovers in a 27-6 win over Arizona, while the Seahawks committed none of their own.

TRENDS

Green Bay has won seven straight, its longest regular-streak since 1963. ... The Saints are 7-2, their best start since 1992, and have won five straight over Carolina. ... The Colts' offense had been outscored 64-10 in the first half of its last three games - all losses - but they scored 14 first-quarter points in a 35-13 win over the Eagles. ... The Vikings are 2-7 for the first time since 1984.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

- The Chiefs' Eddie Kennison caught eight passes for 134 yards in a 17-13 loss to the 49ers. ... The Chargers' LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 120 yards on 24 carries and scored a touchdown in San Diego's 28-24 lost in St. Louis. ... Corey Dillon ran for 102 yards on 21 carries in a 38-27 loss to the Ravens.

INJURIES

Bengals defensive tackle Oliver Gibson tore his left Achilles' tendon, and cornerback Ligarius Jennings tore his left ACL against Baltimore. Both are expected to be out for the season. ... St. Louis running back Marshall Faulk sprained his left ankle in the Rams' 28-24 win over the Chargers, but he shouldn't miss the Rams' next game. ... Chicago quarterback Chris Chandler sprained his neck in the second quarter of the Bears' 33-30 loss to New England. He was replaced by Jim Miller, who wasn't healthy enough to start the game. ... Green Bay running backs Ahman Green (mild concussion) and Najeh Davenport (sprained ankle) left the Packers' game against the Lions.

SPEAKING

"We were not high-powered today. We were not the best offense in football. We couldn't beat Jones Junior High today." - Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil, whose team gained just 80 yards rushing in a 17-13 loss at San Francisco.

"That's too much football. When you get through, you're not sure if you're happy or not. It's an empty kind of feeling, because you had an opportunity and a chance to win." - Falcons defensive back Ashley Ambrose, after Atlanta and Pittsburgh finished tied at 34.
