Bengals Notebook: Sellout unlikely

By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Sunday's game against Tennessee at Paul Brown Stadium is unlikely to sell out.

“We do not anticipate a sellout,” Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said.

If the game does not sell out by 1 p.m. today, it will not be shown on local television.

It will be the Bengals' 20th game at Paul Brown Stadium. Seven have been sellouts, including five against regional rivals Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

HE'S BACK: Tight end Sean Brewer practiced Wednesday for the first time since injuring knee cartilage Sept.22 at Atlanta.

Brewer started the first two games of the season at tight end and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with the Titans.

“I'd love to get back out there,” Brewer said. “We have to see what's best for the team.”

Rookie Matt Schobel has started the past three games and has five receptions for 37 yards.

FURTHER REVIEW: Coach Dick LeBeau said players were shown edited film of their first six games. It featured many good plays, but coaches used it to emphasize the need to reduce errors.

The Bengals are minus-10 in turnover differential, second-worst in the NFL behind Minnesota (minus-14).

The Bengals have 16 turnovers, including a league-high 13 interceptions.

“It's no secret,” LeBeau said, “turnovers are our biggest fault.”
