NFL injury report
Vick might not play in next week's game
The Associated Press
The Atlanta Falcons might be without versatile quarterback Michael Vick after he sprained his right shoulder in a 20-6 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Vick injured his non-throwing shoulder two minutes into the third quarter, when he was sacked by Simeon Rice. After Warren Sapp forced him from the pocket, Vick was driven to the turf by Rice and came down hard on his right shoulder.
X-rays were negative, but the 22-year-old quarterback wasn't sure if he would be able to play against the New York Giants on Sunday.
Vick had his worst game of the season. He was 4-of-12 passing for 37 yards, and managed only 1 yard on the ground. He came in leading the NFL in yards per carry (7.7).
The Oakland Raiders lost leading rusher Charlie Garner early in the fourth quarter of a 49-31 win over the Buffalo Bills. Garner, who ran for 94 yards, strained his left hamstring after scoring on a 69-yard pass play.
Washington starting quarterback Danny Wuerffel injured his throwing shoulder early in the Redskins' 31-14 win over Tennessee. Wuerffel gave way to rookie Patrick Ramsey, who passed for 268 yards and two touchdowns. Redskins running back Stephen Davis sprained his right knee in the first quarter but came back to score two TDs.
Saints linebacker Travis Carroll broke his right lower leg in New Orleans' victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Marshall Faulk left late in the third quarter of St.Louis' 37-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers with back spasms, but he returned and finished with 110 yards rushing and receiving combined. The Rams already were without quarterback Kurt Warner (broken finger) and cornerback Aeneas Williams (turf toe), who snapped his streak of 177 consecutive starts.
San Francisco lost receiver J.J. Stokes, who sprained his right knee in the second quarter, after catching two passes for 64 yards and a TD.
A couple of tight ends got hurt: The San Diego Chargers' Stephen Alexander sprained his right foot against the Denver Broncos, and New York Giants rookie Jeremy Shockey left his team's game against the Dallas Cowboys with turf toe.
The Cowboys were hit hard in the loss, as offensive lineman Larry Allen aggravated an ankle sprain, safety Darren Woodson sprained an ankle, safety Lynn Scott sprained a toe, and special teams player Randal Williams sprained an ankle.
The Giants also lost cornerback Will Peterson (toe) and offensive lineman Jason Whittle (back spasms).
