Bengals president Mike Brown declined Monday to discuss either his or coach Dick LeBeau's future.
Asked if he would now consider hiring a general manager, Brown said, I'm not going to get into that debate today with you.
The Bengals, beaten 30-3 Sunday night at Atlanta, are 53-126 since Brown assumed control of the franchise after the 1990 season. The Bengals last played a postseason game in January 1991.
Brown was also asked if LeBeau's job is safe, given the Bengals' 0-3 start, the two blowout losses and an 84-16 scoring disadvantage.
I'm not going to get into a discussion about coach's jobs, Brown said. It's a no-win debate.
LeBeau, who has behaved defensively with the media much of the past two weeks, was more decisive and confident Monday. He appeared refreshed.
If you aspire to be a head coach, then stay out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat, LeBeau said.
The Bengals played the Falcons in their first prime-time television game in four years. Brown had repeatedly asked the NFL for such a television showcase.
It isn't fun to be humiliated like that, he said. It was embarrassing. But every week is a new week.
