BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland Browns starting offensive tackle Ryan Tucker, who went out with a knee injury Sunday against Kansas City, does not have a torn ligament.

        Tucker hurt his left knee during the first quarter and didn't return to the game.

        An MRI taken Monday did not reveal any tears in Tucker's knee, Cleveland coach Butch Davis said. Tucker will receive treatment, Davis said, but would not speculate on his status for Sunday's game against Cincinnati.

        Meanwhile, Davis said there's no rush to get quarterback Tim Couch healthy for the Bengals.

        Couch missed Sunday's opener with a sore elbow and was replaced by backup Kelly Holcomb, who went 27-of-39 for 327 yards and three touchdowns.

        “He's on a throwing program and hopefully he'll get better every day,” Davis said of Couch. “We've got to make sure that Tim Couch is 100 percent ready to be able to play whenever that happens, if it's this week or whenever.”

        Couch tore scar tissue near his right elbow late in the exhibition season. The Browns limited his throws last week and Couch visited renowned orthopedist Dr. James Andrews, who told the quarterback to continue throwing.

        Couch is expected to throw at full-speed Wednesday to test his arm.
