GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Bengals waived three players Monday, including tight end Kirk McMullen, who started two games last season.

The Bengals also cut fullback Harold Jackson (Temple) and wide receiver Michael Slater (Murray State), both rookie free agents who had signed April23.

McMullen played in seven games last season and had two receptions for 15 yards. He played collegiate ball at Pittsburgh, and came to the Bengals in 2000 after the Kansas City Chiefs cut him from their practice squad.

The Bengals also moved defensive tackle Mario Monds from the active/non-football injury list to the reserve/non-football injury list. Monds is rehabbing from a right knee ligament tear suffered last March in NFL Europe training camp. He will be eligible to return after Week6 of the regular season.

The Bengals now have 73 players on their roster. Rosters must be cut to 65 players by Aug. 27.
