Hawkins sidelined 6-8 weeks
Cornerback Artrell Hawkins suffered a high-grade injury to the posterior cruciate ligament in his knee during Wednesday's workout. He is expected to require six to eight weeks of rehabilitation to get ready for the July 26 opening of training camp.
He will not need surgery.
Hawkins, who re-signed as an unrestricted free agent, is expected to start opposite newcomer Jeff Burris at cornerback.
