Reluctant Bengal expected today

Rookie free safety Lamont Thompson, who missed minicamp and the first three voluntary workouts he could attend, was expected to arrive in Cincinnati late Tuesday night and should be at Paul Brown Stadium this morning for meetings.
Thompson will not take part in any physical activities that could potentially cause injury, because of a dispute between his agent, Michael Sullivan, and the Bengals over written injury protection. The Bengals would be obligated to pay Thompson the first-year tender of $225,000 if he were injured, and Sullivan wants a guarantee that the club would give Thompson the $1.4million signing bonus paid to the 41st player taken in the 2002 draft.
INJURY UPDATE: Safety Cory Hall will return to practice today after hurting his left shoulder Thursday while making an interception.
