Bengals still working on Wilson

The Bengals are working to secure a contract with their top unrestricted free agent, defensive end Reinard Wilson.
Wilson led the team with nine sacks in 2001.
Nothing to report today, agent David Levine said Tuesday. He is negotiating with Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn.
The signing of cornerback Jeff Burris and the potential signing of Wilson probably would close out the Bengals' free agent activity until after the April 20-21 college draft.
If the Bengals can't get a tight end in the draft and it has six or seven potential rookie tight end starters they would attempt to sign a veteran free agent.
Free agent Todd Peterson, a former Kansas City kicker and the first free agent to visit the Bengals, on March 6, has signed with the AFC North Division rival Steelers.
Pittsburgh went after Peterson when it decided not to match the offer made to its former kicker, Kris Brown, by the Houston Texans.
The Bengals have said they will bring serious competition to training camp for embattled third-year kicker Neil Rackers, but Peterson's deal with the Steelers takes the top free agent off the list.
