Dillon's status for Pro Bowl could be announced today

Enquirer staff and news services

It won't be known until today whether Bengals running back Corey Dillon will participate in the Pro Bowl Feb.9.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora said late Wednesday afternoon that there is no confirmation yet if Dillon will replace Pittsburgh's Jerome Bettis, who withdrew because of a groin injury.

If Dillon accepts the invitation, it would be his third consecutive Pro Bowl berth and third in his five-year career.

“He would go with our blessing,” LeBeau said.
