The six wide receivers combined for 31 receptions for 386 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns, the team's first in 16 quarters. The previous was Corey Dillon's catch for a score at the end of regulation Dec.2 in the overtime loss to Tampa Bay.
The Bengals had 403 net passing yards after failing to crack 200 in the past five consecutive games.
Darnay Scott's seven receptions were good for 113 yards, including a 49-yarder, the longest pass play for the Bengals since Scott had a 41-yard catch in Game 2 against Baltimore.
Receivers had to be ready, said Scott, who had the 12th 100-yard game of his career. We were going to throw the ball.
Peter Warrick had 10 receptions for 109 yards, both career highs.
I know it was all about timing, and one day it would work out, said Warrick, who now has 65 receptions for 634 yards. We just need more days like this.
It was the first time two Bengals receivers each had 100-yard games since Dec.20, 1998 at Pittsburgh, when Scott and Brandon Bennett each hit the century mark.
Rookie T.J. Houshmandzadeh came two yards from making it a triple-header. He had 98 yards on nine receptions.
The only time the Bengals had three receivers with 100-yard days was Oct.7, 1990 at the Los Angeles Rams. Quarterback Boomer Esiason had 492 passing yards that day, and tight end Rodney Holman (now a Bengals assistant coach) had 10 catches for 161 yards, wide receiver Tim McGee had eight receptions for 142 yards, and running back James Brooks had seven for 109 and two touchdowns.
