McGee out for season
Bengals hurting at tight end
By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Starting tight end Tony McGee was lost for the season with a knee ligament sprain.
McGee made a six-yard reception in the second quarter and was hit hard by cornerback Brian Kelly and linebacker Alshermond Singleton.
With longtime backup Marco Battaglia also lost for the season after undergoing an appendectomy, the Bengals are down to two tight ends, Nick Williams and Brad St. Louis.
Williams was activated for this game and is learning the position as an H-back part fullback, part tight end. St. Louis is primarily the long snapper.
McGee ends the season with 14 catches for 150 yards.
The only holdover injuries are cornerback Artrell Hawkins (ankle, doubtful) and guard Matt O'Dwyer (knee, questionable).
