Browns rookie wins AFC honor

The Associated Press

BEREA, Ohio — Browns rookie cornerback Anthony Henry, who had three interceptions in Cleveland's upset of Baltimore last weekend, on Wednesday was named the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week.

Henry, a fourth-round draft pick from South Florida, has seven interceptions this season. He also had three interceptions in a win over Detroit earlier this year.

He's the first NFL player to have a pair of three-interception games in the same season since Cincinnati's David Fulcher in 1989. Henry also is the first rookie to do it since Bobby Ply of the Dallas Texans in 1962.

He is three interceptions shy of the club single-season record set by Thom Darden in 1978.
