Bengals Notebook

Dillon on ESPN, Fox shows

By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Running back Corey Dillon will appear at 5 p.m. Wednesday on an episode of the new ESPN talk show Unscripted. The show was filmed Friday at the ESPNZone restaurant in Anaheim, Calif.

Dillon also will be featured on Fox Sports' Beyond the Glory series. It will trace Dillon's path from juvenile arrests in Seattle to a successful NFL career.

Dillon also was excused from practice Friday to appear at a hearing in Federal Way, Wash., to iron out a paperwork discrepancy in his order of continuance from an August 2000 fourth-degree assault charge.

THREE KICKERS: Bengals coack Dick LeBeau said he's not against having two kickers and a punter on the roster. He was asked if he would use Neil Rackers for kickoffs, practice-squad kicker Jaret Holmes for field goals and Nick Harris for punts.

“If it were a solution that would solve all problems, we would do anything like that,” LeBeau said. “We'll just monitor the situation and see how we go as we go through the week.”

Rackers is 7-of-14 on field goal attempts.

QUALITY LOSSES: The Bengals' losses have come against teams — San Diego, Pittsburgh and Chicago — that are a combined 16-6 this season. Cincinnati's victories have come against teams — New England, Baltimore, Cleveland and Detroit — that are a combined 13-17.

INJURIES: Cornerbacks Robert Bean (hamstring) and Tom Carter (knee) and defensive tackle Tony Williams (foot) practiced Monday.
