NFL predictions

By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Tennessee guard Bruce Matthews will become the NFL's all-time leader in career games for non-kickers when he plays in his 283rd game today in Baltimore.

Matthews was a teammate of his head coach, Jeff Fisher, at Southern Cal, and Matthews and his offensive line coach, Mike Munchak, were teammates with the Houston Oilers.

Matthews will pass former Cleveland and Minnesota defensive end Jim Marshall. Matthews' brother, Clay, will be third at 278 games. Clay Matthews Sr. was a defensive lineman for the 49ers during the 1950s.

“I have realized how blessed I am to play this long,” said Bruce Matthews, in his 19th season.

        This week's games:

TITANS (0-2) at RAVENS (2-1): Five of their past seven meetings have been decided by four points or fewer. Ravens have won two in a row over Titans. Titans quarterback Steve McNair will start. Baltimore coming off big win at Denver. RAVENS 17-10.
