Coslet pursues Redskins' coordinator job
Former Bengals coach and offensive coordinator Bruce Coslet has had early discussions with Washington coach Marty Schottenheimer about becoming the Redskins' offensive coordinator.
Coslet, who resigned as Bengals coach Sept.25, was interviewed Thursday at Washington's Redskins Park headquarters in Ashburn, Va. The Redskins' interview is his first since he resigned. Coslet is 47-77 in nine seasons as a head coach.
Schottenheimer plans to interview other coaches for the offensive coordinator job, including Pendry, who coached for Schottenheimer in Kansas City and Cleveland. He also is considering Phillips as his defensive coordinator.
