Peter Warrick's 82-yard punt return for a touchdown Sunday against Jacksonville made him the first Bengal to score on a kick return, pass reception and rushing attempt in the same season.

        Running back Stanford Jennings (1984-1990) had the hat trick in his seven-year career. He had nine rushing touchdowns, nine receiving touchdowns and one regular-season kickoff return for a touchdown.

        Warrick has three touchdown receptions, two rushing touchdowns and the one punt return — all in his rookie season.

        He has 793 total yards: 554 yards on 48 receptions, 142 yards rushing on 15 carries and 97 yards on five punt returns.

        Coach Dick LeBeau, who decided to have Warrick return punts against the Jaguars, said fans could expect Warrick to handle return duties for many seasons.

        “That wasn't out of necessity,” LeBeau said. “We told our team that if we were going into a playoff game we would probably have Peter back there running back punts, so that's what we did. Having seen what I saw, every game might be a playoff game.”
