Bengals fans exorcised at least six weeks of frustration.

“It's about time,” said Jamie Adamson, 27, of Gallipolis, Ohio, who wore a Corey Dillon jersey - approriate attire for the day when Dillon set a single-game NFL record with 278 yards.

Fans were pleased, surprised — and some, still skeptical — as they left Paul Brown Stadium after the Bengals' first win of the season.

“It was a nice day today. They played good and they made my day,” said Roger Toko, 23, of Cincinnati.

Guy Peri, 27, a former Denver resident now living in Cincinnati, said, “I never would've imagined this in my wildest dreams.”
