Warrick familiar with reverse

Peter Warrick said Florida State coach Bobby Bowden would have loved the reverse call that produced the Bengals' first touchdown.

“He sent that play up (from Tallahassee),” Warrick said. “He'll call that play, oh yeah. That's his favorite play.”

Warrick said he loves being able to run with the ball.

“That's me, the reverse, 10 yards, going in,” Warrick said.

        He praised Smith's poise.

“He said in the huddle, "OK, so we're down by fourteen, but that doesn't mean nothing,'” Warrick said. “He said, "We're a team and we are going to be good. Here's what we have to do ...' We all came together and overcame adversity by coming back from being down by 14.”

Warrick said he has noticed one big difference between college and the NFL.

“This is more mental — 90 percent mental up here,” he said. “But I feel like I can make plays if I keep my head in the game.”

Does he want the ball every play?

“No, I'd be tired if they got it to me every play,” he said. “But when my number is called, I feel like I can make the best of it.”
