Spotlight on Left DTs

This is one in a series of looks at the Bengals by position.
Projected starter: Oliver Gibson. A fourth-round pick by Pittsburgh in 1995, Gibson signed with the Bengals as an unrestricted free agent in 1999 and started in all 16 games. The 6-foot-2, 315-pound Gibson posted a career-high 41/2 sacks and led defensive linemen with six tackles for loss. He also had 12 quarterback pressures.
Chad Pegues. An undrafted free agent in 1999, Pegues spent nine of last season's 17 weeks on the practice squad. Pegues is 6-0 and 304 pounds.
