Spotlight on right guards
By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer
This is one in a regular series of looks at the 2000 Bengals by position.
Projected starter: Brian DeMarco. A six-year pro from Michigan State, DeMarco started and played in seven games for the Bengals after signing as an unrestricted free agent from Jacksonville. Calcium deposits in both elbows required surgery, but he has been cleared to play. The 6-foot-7, 323-pound DeMarco is part of a deep offensive line that wants to give quarterback Akili Smith more time in the pocket.
2. Scott Rehberg. He started 13 games for the Cleveland Browns last season and also can play tackle. He's 6-8, 330 and in his fourth season out of Central Michigan.
