Akili donates $100,000 to college

Bengals quarterback Akili Smith will have a field named for him at his former junior college.

He wrote a check for $100,000 to Grossmont College in his hometown of San Diego, which will be used for installation of a state-of-the-art field.

Smith also plans donations to his other schools, Lincoln High in San Diego and the University of Oregon.
