Ex-Bengal Douthard guilty of possession
Former Cincinnati Bengal Talib Ty Douthard was convicted Thursday of possession of marijuana.
Mr. Douthard, 26, faces up to five years in prison. Prosecutors say police found 21/2 pounds of marijuana in a refrigerator at his Evanston home.
Mr. Douthard claimed the drugs belonged to another man living at the apartment, but prosecutors said his fingerprints were found on the bag.
Mr. Douthard, a La Salle High School graduate, was a running back with the Bengals. He was released in 1999.
