• November 1996: Architect, construction manager and project manager selected.
• May 1997: Initial lease agreement between county and Bengals.
• December 1997: “Guaranteed maximum price” established.
• January 1998: Initial transfer of land from city to county.
• February 1998: Building demolition started.
• April 1998: Project estimate approved. Second lease agreement with Bengals, which provides the approved design.
• April 1998: Public groundbreaking.
• May 1998: Deep foundations started.
• June 1998: Final transfer of land from city to county.
• Fall 1998: Stadium superstructure started.
• December 1998: First elevated slab poured.
• April 1999: Structure raised to club level.
• September 1999: Structure raised to upper concourse.
• October 1999: Practice fields installed.
• November 1999: Upper seating bowl started.
• December 1999: PriceWaterhouseCoopers hired to audit Paul Brown Stadium construction.
• January 2000: Roof canopy started.
• April-May 2000: Playing field to be installed.
• August 2000: Stadium scheduled to open.
