Stadium milestones
March 1996: Half-cent sales tax increase approved by Hamilton County voters.
November 1996: Architect, construction manager and project manager selected.
May 1997: Initial lease agreement between county and Bengals.
December 1997: Guaranteed maximum price established.
January 1998: Initial transfer of land from city to county.
February 1998: Building demolition started.
April 1998: Project estimate approved. Second lease agreement with Bengals, which provides the approved design.
April 1998: Public groundbreaking.
May 1998: Deep foundations started.
June 1998: Final transfer of land from city to county.
Fall 1998: Stadium superstructure started.
December 1998: First elevated slab poured.
April 1999: Structure raised to club level.
September 1999: Structure raised to upper concourse.
October 1999: Practice fields installed.
November 1999: Upper seating bowl started.
December 1999: PriceWaterhouseCoopers hired to audit Paul Brown Stadium construction.
January 2000: Roof canopy started.
April-May 2000: Playing field to be installed.
August 2000: Stadium scheduled to open.
